About ScholarKit

Engineered by students and developers to eliminate bloated, ad-ridden, and inaccurate academic tools.

Our Mission

Every semester, millions of university, college, and secondary school students need to calculate their semester CGPA, convert grade points into percentages for graduate school applications, plan attendance thresholds, or structure revision intervals.

Unfortunately, most existing online calculators are cluttered with invasive banner ads, demand sign-ups to capture student email lists, or enforce rigid US-only 4.0 grading systems that fail for international students in India, the UK, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

ScholarKit was built to solve this problem permanently: a fast, private, and mathematically sound academic suite that runs 100% client-side in your browser.

The 4 Core Architectural Pillars

1. 100% Client-Side Privacy

Your grades, courses, study sessions, and text analyses never leave your device. All calculations execute locally inside your browser memory using JavaScript and Web APIs. There is zero telemetry, no backend user database, and no data broker integration.

2. Global Scale Agnosticism

Higher education is global. While typical tools hardcode a 4.0 scale, our tools support 4.0 (North America), 5.0 (Nigeria, Singapore), 7.0 (Australia), 10.0 (India / UGC / CBSE), and custom ceilings (e.g. 20.0 in France or 6.0 in Switzerland).

3. Verified Mathematical Rigor

We do not use hand-wavy approximations. From IEEE-754 floating-point correction to drift-compensated Pomodoro intervals that ignore browser background-tab throttling, every algorithm is backed by automated test suites and authentic university formulas.

4. Frictionless Time-to-Value

Zero sign-up screens, zero mandatory account creation, and zero paywalls. Tools load instantly as lightweight static assets hosted on edge infrastructure, accessible on low-bandwidth cellular networks and mobile devices.

Our Technology Stack

ScholarKit is built on a modern, ultra-lean web architecture:

  • Astro 7: Static site generation (SSG) producing clean, zero-overhead HTML and CSS.
  • Preact: Ultra-compact, reactive client-side micro-components for live calculations.
  • CSS Variables & System Fonts: Native Apple HIG and Ant Design inspired styling that responds instantly to light and dark system preferences.
  • Edge Deployment: Globally distributed static delivery on Vercel ensuring sub-100ms time-to-first-byte (TTFB).

Editorial & Verification Policy

All calculation formulas published on this platform are cross-referenced with official university regulatory bodies, including UGC (University Grants Commission, India), AICTE, CBSE guidelines, and international credit-hour conventions (ECTS in Europe, US Carnegie credit units).

For detailed mathematical formulas, rounding behavior, and institutional variations, please consult our Calculation Methodology documentation.
